SUMMER SOUVENIRS
After three summers without being able to meet, we are very happy to have been able to recover the traditional trophy ceremony of the Social Tennis and Padel Championships. Although from the organization we were suffering from the threat of rain until the last moment, the ceremony could be carried out without any impediment. A success, since more than 100 members of the Club gathered around the pool, and the champions of the different social events were able to collect their well-deserved prize. The act of celebration ended with a spectacular aperitif offered by the Informal, where we could enjoy a small taste of its gastronomic offer.
I OPEN TENNIS CLÀSSIC
On August 17th we organized the I Open Tennis Classic, a wooden doubles championship that returned to the past 20 couples. All of them following the classic dress code , dressed in white. Some other partner got us with their century-old clothing and made us think we were at the beginning of tennis. A highly contested championship, which was won by the couple formed by father and son, Emili and Jordi Bosch from CT La Bisbal. They prevailed in the final in the revelation of the tournament, the young couple formed by Arnau Ballell and Jan Rius, who showed that the youngest also do very well with wooden rackets. Also noteworthy is the good role of the semifinalist couples: Miquel Montserrat and Manel Fontelles and; Xavi Bosch and Josep Antoni López. The event ended with a final cocktail in the club’s renovated social room set for the occasion.
